Time to Catch Up!
(This is an AI generated description, we just wanted to see what it would do đ )
Gather 'round at the couple's table for a content creators' soiree, where the spontaneous serenades of Heather and the dynamic aura of February set the scene. Our live audience gets a warm virtual hug, with a shoutout to friends like Spire Lab and Home Sick Mac, who've joined the flow of our digital hangout. This episode is a treasure trove for anyone looking to rejuvenate their Ecamp skills or seeking an escape into Drew's art-adorned world, as we dream of teleporting to his gallery walk. Plus, we're buzzing with excitement over our Just Create More community's comebackâa safe haven from the trolls, where content creators unite and thrive.
This chatty session isn't just about the pleasantries; we tackle the gritty reality of our love-hate relationship with wireless audio systems and their sealed-in battery woes. I lay out the conundrum faced by tech aficionados when grappling with the eventual demise of their cherished gadgets from brands like Rode and Deity. It's a candid chat that resonates with our community, as we look beyond the shiny exterior of our favorite devices to their finite lifespans. Joining the dialogue, Bill spills the beans on his content-sharing strategies, igniting a broader tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte on the ideal platforms for tutorials and streams. Soski chimes in too, inspiring us to rethink workspace organization for peak creativity and efficiency.
As we reach the episode's end, we venture into the whimsical world of wildlife cams, sharing our fascination with the Royal Albatross and its fluffy offspring. The Boston Main Live feed has us hooked, and we delve into how these 24/7 nature peep shows double as nifty fundraisers. The fun escalates as our buddy Tom throws in a word association game, weaving playful banter with a sprinkle of unexpected tech insights. And before we sign off, get pumped for the insider scoop on the National Association of Broadcasters event and a quirky iPhone tidbit that'll whisk you down memory lane. Tune in for this episode and let your creativity, tech love, and sense of community soar!

Music Hello and welcome. My name is Tom and I'm Heather, and you're sitting at the couple's table, the couple's table is a last year podcast here on the channel. Join us for better or worse, the richer rapport Insignis and in health Every Friday at 1 pm Pacific Standard Time.
Speaker 2:That was great, and Tom is going to double check the audio. Dun dun, dun, dun dun. Happy Friday everybody. It is February. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. Did you like my song? Yeah?
Speaker 1:This is what it's like. If you ever wondered what it's like living with Heather, it's a lot of these songs all the time, about everything. I just sing things.
Speaker 2:All right. Spire Lab is in the house. Hello, home. Sick Mac checking in Real Pell Room. Hello, good to see you. Drew is from is currently at the other side and saying hello. Reagan is here. Made it Jared. How do y'all what's?
Speaker 1:up. Look at this.
Speaker 2:Rainy Cajun Heather, you were watching Adrian on Ecamp. Yes, I was, because I totally needed a refresher on Ecamp and like there were a lot of things.
Speaker 1:Ecamp's come along. Yes, I haven't set up Ecamp.
Speaker 2:I think all of last year I didn't touch it. I was really into it when I had my my many live stream shows and podcasts and all of that and like I still have my scenes still in here and gaming my gaming channel, stuff like that, and that was definitely a year ago and I hadn't touched it since. I didn't know about profiles, I didn't know about all these other things that you can do. So I definitely needed the refresher and the Ecamp challenge was awesome. It covered exactly like what I needed it to cover. I know we can go more advanced, but I think a lot of that is like customization. So, yeah, it was fun. Introvert Aventure Hello, you made it Good to have you here. Oh, no coffee's in the house. Call me Cubby. Hello, hello Bill, hey Bill. Hey, baro, how are you?
Speaker 1:Is that a Buck Blue Pod mic? It's a. It's a Buck Blue Pod mic windscreen. That's like a perfect Buck Blue. It is sorry for the sound, but yeah, this is.
Speaker 2:Did they ask you for the hex code?
Speaker 1:No, it's just the thing. The thing I will say about road is when they choose colors for things like their blues, greens, pinks, purple, that's they choose the perfect shade and I guess they're coming out with bees for the Pod mic and they'll be in different colors and things and they gave me the blue ones because obvious reasons. Oh, sorry if that's sounding weird, but I really like how it looks.
Speaker 2:Drew says. Before the stream starts, I just want to invite anyone that will be in Washington state to my gallery walk Saturday from 4 to 7pm in Bellingham.
Speaker 1:Nice Congratulations on that.
Speaker 2:That sounds so cool. I wish we could go See, let's, someone has to invent teleportation. That sounds so fun. And congrats, living in Los Angeles. Hello, hello.
Speaker 1:Hello.
Speaker 2:Top of the morning podcast.
Speaker 1:Hello.
Speaker 2:What it do. Andrew Poole's in the house. Happy Friday, hello. Oh my gosh, heather. I always sing, but my lines are stupid. Mine are too. I just like talk about what's happening.
Speaker 1:Say a thing, Say a thing. Did you know about the thing? So it'd be like you know, I don't know. French fried potato. French fried potato. Did you know about the French fried potato?
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's kind of the song that's like my go to. What do they call that Refrains?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I just fill in the blank there. Let's see, honestly, I didn't have it open, I just like full screened Adrian, because it was getting distracting. I tried to pay attention to the chat. I just said hi and then look for people I knew, but so many people had so many questions that I knew the answer to. But it's so. It's like you're asking the wrong question because you don't know about this thing yet.
Speaker 1:Right.
Speaker 2:So it's like like someone was asking how did you remote podcast? Like, oh my gosh, you have to like you know what I mean. Like you need to have Ecamp set up and you need to have your scenes and then you have to know about guests, and it's like I don't even know how to get started with this question, so I just had to like stop looking at it. That cover is amazing.
Speaker 1:I'm sure these are going to be very popular.
Speaker 2:All right. Well, there we go. It's great to see you everybody. Happy Friday. Okay, I have updates and news. Oh, okay, since today is just going to be a hangout.
Speaker 1:Sure Kind of excited about. That's what we're doing today. We're just hanging out. I got my coffee. The chat is where it's at.
Speaker 2:Tom has his awesome water bottle, and so we're just going to hang out. So I'm going to start Ready.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I have nothing prepared, so thank you, okay, well, I'm putting it out there into the universe Just create more is the community that Tom and I started and kind of took a break from for a while. But we're relaunching on Friday Not this Friday, next Friday and it's free. You just have to fill out like an application because we want, you know, we don't want like trolls and spammers and we only want people who want to be there to be there. So it's a place where you can connect with other content creators. It's a place to connect with a lot of people who are here.
Speaker 2:But also I wanted it to be more like, of course you can ask I don't know, I don't know. Like of course you can ask questions, ask, you know, everyone who's going to be there as content creator. But then also, just like I think what I want in this party that I am throwing, that we're throwing, is like a place just to hang out with other people that do the thing that we do. You know what I mean. So totally we can, you know, focus on the YouTube stuff and all of that, but sometimes it's just like we want to, you know, like this, like your PodMic covers, sure, yeah, like just to look at this, this is cool.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it doesn't have to go further. Yeah, here's a problem, here's a poster or whatever.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so it's going to be. It's going to be chill. I still have to like move stuff around and for the people who already have a membership, I mean you can go in there now. But formally we'll do a little, we'll celebrate on Friday Reorganization and stuff.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so now, if you are trying to grow your YouTube channel or wanting to start a YouTube channel, I'm also relaunching the YouTube huddle up over on my tutorial channel, which is at youtubecom slash, heathermarish, and that's where that's like. We've got goals, weekly goals that we want to work on. It's a place where you can have, you know, be kept accountable and the things that you're working on and making progress to when it comes to your YouTube channel. That's all going to be over on my tutorial channel and that's free. That's just whoever wants to join the live stream.
Speaker 1:That was really fun.
Speaker 2:Yes, Tom was a had been a special guest on the YouTube huddle up many times.
Speaker 1:I mean, I watched it every week. It was cool to see the. It was cool. It's like accountability partners sort of thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was a super like I don't know. I got lucky with that group Everyone was so chill, yeah.
Speaker 2:Next announcement oh yeah, this Tuesday I am going live with my friend James. He was in the YouTube huddle up. He's been a guest on the channel. He's been our friend. I met him in college, so we've been friends for like oh my gosh, 20 years now. But James started a YouTube channel shortly after I did. But now has really grown his Instagram account and I feel like Instagram has is just not the same platform. It's completely different, especially in the past year, and he saw a lot of success last year. So we're flipping the table. Like before he asked me about YouTube stuff and now I want to. I want to ask him like, tell me about YouTube today. Like, are you still using hashtags? Are you still? Like, what is your strategy when it comes to posting to your, to your stories versus to actually creating, like something for the grid? Do you focus on reels? Do you do picture posts at all? You know like, do you use your phone for everything? I have a bunch of questions that I want to ask.
Speaker 1:Sounds like it, yeah.
Speaker 2:And so, if you, I haven't decided where to do it, though Maybe you can help me.
Speaker 1:I don't like. What channel? Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 2:What do you think?
Speaker 1:I. You could argue it works on either one, but I feel like if the huddle up is going to be on your tutorial channel, this is more in line with that. Yeah, it's focused on creating growing understanding. So, yeah, tutorial channel makes sense to me, okay.
Speaker 2:So I think it's going to be on the tutorial channel.
Speaker 1:I don't know, we'll see.
Speaker 2:I'll post it on Instagram if you follow me. But I'm excited for that because I I just know nothing about Instagram. I've just been kind of doing my thing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and that's it I. Those are some really really awesome updates here, so Spiralab super excited. Yes, huddle up.
Speaker 2:I'm excited for it, too, cause I you know what I my approach this year is I'm going to do the things that I need to I want to be a part of. So, like I need YouTube accountability, I'm going to relaunch the YouTube huddle up so that, like, we can all keep each other accountable and I miss, like all our like you know, friends that live everywhere else and not it was cool.
Speaker 1:You're so innovative too. It's just how you like. I don't know the way that you did it and obviously the way you would, you know, do it a year later. Whatever, it's fun. It's a really fun thing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but then also, like you know, just create more when we had those zoom. Yeah, those zoom hangouts, I you know that was cool.
Speaker 1:Drew's like kind of like going back to the idea of a chat. I don't know why it is so incredibly tiny on screen when I put it up there, but Drew has an idea? For a podcast, thinking of picking up e-cam to host remote guests. Question how easy hard is it to create a brand design for the show and implement it into e-cam?
Speaker 2:That's so easy. You can do the whole thing within e-cam now.
Speaker 1:You could always like import, you know, something from Photoshop or Canva or whatever like make a template, make a PNG or whatever, but now you can do essentially all graphic design and layers with complex like moving stuff and everything all in e-cam.
Speaker 2:Let me see if I have my. Hopefully this is a break yeah.
Speaker 1:There we go.
Speaker 2:Boom.
Speaker 1:But you made it. Oh, there you go. Oh, there we go.
Speaker 2:Yes, you can make all that in, like Canva, keynote Photoshop, like those graphics. You just drop, you literally just drag it into eCAM and you just put the camera on top.
Speaker 1:Or you can build, you can add in shapes, some basic shapes and design things in eCAM. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, totally worth it, 100% it's so easy. I don't.
Speaker 2:I honestly don't know how you would do it otherwise.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I'm just looking forward to amateur.
Speaker 2:Yay, I'm so excited, Looking forward to rejoining with the Huddled Up same with Mac I'll see already, if it was just us, it'd be an awesome group, you know.
Speaker 1:And here's K-WallCompany. Kathy, I have to edit a work podcast by 4.30, so I'll have to catch the replay. Just need to check in on full out.
Speaker 2:Full out everywhere is happening, so I couldn't decide whether to daily vlog. I decided that I don't need to do that because I want to do all these other things and it takes a lot of time. So full out February is basically a mantra for the month of February to apply yourself, to share your gifts, share your talent by creating stuff, because it makes an impact on people who see it, and to just do that to the best of your ability and that's all it is right. So I'm excited to relaunch, Just Create More. Relaunch YouTube Huddled Up, you know. Think more about Instagram, start making tutorials again. I'm just excited to I don't know go full out. So that's what full out February is, but there is no formal sign up or anything. It's just like, you know, I don't know at the next couple of days when we could just be like how's full out February going, but yeah.
Speaker 1:It's almost like a New Year's resolution.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:It's an informal thing to focus on. Reagan said Huddled Up, I'm keen. So that's Heather Maris' channel. What's the dates?
Speaker 2:again, we're going to kick it off next Wednesday, 1pm Pacific Standard Time. Wednesday is 1pm Pacific Standard Time. I hope that works Well.
Speaker 1:I guess we'll see today, since three, four people want to be there, yeah, so maybe we could say if that works or not.
Speaker 2:I figured 1pm Pacific Standard Time works for people who are here. And then, yeah, Wednesday is the day that I decided on midweek. So we'll see the way that I did. Youtube Huddled Up. You didn't actually have to be on the stream because the accountability happened in a Google Sheet, so you could just log into the Google Sheet and put in your progress there and I would just read it off and you catch a replay. But you know, it's cool to be there live.
Speaker 1:It's fun when people could be in the chat.
Speaker 2:So we're kicking off like next week Wednesday. I have to like schedule this stuff, but yeah.
Speaker 1:Call Me Cubby says. I'm excited too. I've been filming vlog stuff but haven't fully edited or posted anything yet.
Speaker 2:Do it See? So if you post it by next Wednesday, then on Wednesday at the YouTube Huddled Up you could be like I posted my first vlog. Hey, there you go.
Speaker 1:Drew said after we talked about Ecamm, I'm even more excited to pick up Ecamm now. Thank you, ayes Cam, for so much. It's awesome. It is awesome, it's worth it. Use our affiliate links. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, no shame in that. Right there, sasky Lee.
Speaker 2:Hi, hello, hello. Happy New Year, happy New Year, happy New Month. Happy New Year.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and Rim Jam Everyone. Just a quick hi, we'll catch y'all on the replay.
Speaker 2:If you wasn't going to edit it. So everyone's editing on Friday.
Speaker 1:I know I know I rigged and I saw you say it's still it's Saturday where you're at, but you'll pretend it's Friday and I was thinking that just means you get a longer weekend.
Speaker 2:There you go, so do you have updates? You put out a video. You should talk about that, because I feel like it was a little bit of a different approach, thomas.
Speaker 1:I did. I put out a video that was about an issue that I've just that's sort of been. It's just, it's an issue that's been like.
Speaker 2:Bothering might be the wrong word, but I can't think of it, just something that you're thinking about, something I've been thinking about.
Speaker 1:Something I've been thinking about that I feel like affects a lot of people but I haven't heard talked about, and it has to do with all of I'm going to grab some props here.
Speaker 2:I thought of another thing I wanted to share. Let's share, go ahead, oh let's, we'll go through my thing just for the sake of yeah, go you, finish your thing.
Speaker 1:So all of these kinds of things. This is a road wireless one, but there's these kits, you know, from DJI, from Deity, from Hollyland Comica. A million brands now make these, like the wireless transmitter receiver kits, and they are awesome because they help people get better audio. So number one, that's great. Number two, they're pretty affordable for the most part. And number three, they are simple, and wireless audio used to be something that's really complicated, but now these are super simple.
Speaker 1:I mean, this one has a charging case, so you open it up and you know you have a receiver here that can go into your camera, your phone, and then you have two transmitters. And what's really cool Rode was the first company to come out with this sort of a thing is the transmitters have microphones built into them, which is super cool because that means you can hold it as a microphone, you can clip it on your shirt or whatever, although I do not like it when I. I just don't like, so watch, I'll clip this here and now. It's gonna like stretch out my collar and it just People do it anyway.
Speaker 2:People do it and honestly I will I mean, it's not weird, I will take that over bad audio.
Speaker 1:I will take a distracting black thing hanging here over bad audio but, they also have inputs for lavalier microphones.
Speaker 1:So I always just, you know, keep it in my pocket, put it whatever. And this is set, the Rode Wireless Pro. I really like it because it comes with two lavalier microphones in addition to everything, so it's like everything that you need and these are awesome. The problem with them is you can't change the batteries in any of them. I think actually, someone sent me a link. I think there's like a no name.
Speaker 1:It's one of those like crazy overseas companies that sort of just like steals technology and repackages it. They have a copycat system that actually does have some sort of replaceable battery and none of the other ones do for many of the brands. So this oh, you're back, so this isn't a specific is probably lost audio and maybe we cut to NDI. Yeah, so it isn't just a specific Brand or anything, but it's. All of these things don't have replaceable batteries and the bummer with that is batteries don't last forever and so after a sign, if after years pass, not months, but if for years past, your battery starts, starts losing the life's, you know you fully charge it, but it's not gonna last as long as it used to last. There's nothing you can do about it and some of them Like my deity system that I have. I just didn't use it for a few months and it d-charge so much that.
Speaker 1:I mean be recharges totally dead, it's done. And what sucks then is when that happens. You have this system, you know even your amazing charging case. You have all the transmitter, receiver things, all this cool tech, and it's just kind of dead. There's nothing you can do with it and Credit or credit to do.
Speaker 1:I did ask road directly about this and they said they use very specific batteries that don't D-charge that much. They have like a special forget what it's called in it, protective circuit or something, so they always keep a little bit. So even if they sit for a long time, you could recharge them and, to be fair, I haven't ever had my road ones die. But they can't overcome the laws of you know physics where after years, battery lifespan shortens, and so the video was kind of about that. It was just saying, and I'm really kind of shocked how Well the video is doing, because it's not about a new product, it's about an idea like right, it's not about anything new but I think that's like an interesting thing to think about the crazy thing is I've never heard it brought up In any review for any of these things ever and I even had to ask because I was like maybe I'm wrong and maybe there are.
Speaker 1:You know, there's so many of these systems out there now. Maybe replaceable batteries have become popular and no, like, I mean I asked people, I asked manufacturers, they did all kinds of searches and like no, I guess just, it's just not. And yeah, I mean there's, there's the insidious side of it which is the like maybe in citizen's right work. But the the bad faith argument would be you know the companies don't want to put replaceable batteries in it because then you have to keep buying more of them, right, like if you replace the battery they're not making money because you keep buying systems and the other side of it like when I asked road directly they're the only company I talked to they said that when they were coming up with it, being compact and simple was kind of their priority.
Speaker 1:You know, double-a batteries are kind of big and it's hard to make things super compact and having a battery Be something someone has to think about changing, moving whatever made it more complicated. But you know there's, there's more pro level systems that all let you replace the batteries in the transversors and receivers. They're a little bigger, they're a little more expensive, but these literally like they don't break, like you could just use them forever. And I have, like I used so many of these when I was teaching that literally were like over 10 years old or more. Just as long as they.
Speaker 1:Yeah and that's anyway, that's. That's the Long short explanation of the video.
Speaker 2:Bill says this will be on her Instagram channel it. Yes, I will post all the things in my stories Because I can't decide yet where all this will happen. It'll be their tutorial channel. Well, youtube huddle up will be over on youtubecom slash. Heather Marys the live stream on Tuesday was still debating. I feel like it should be over there by. Since it's Instagram, I think it might put it here. So I don't know. But yeah, I'll post it and catch here Multitossi, everyone's multitossi. I like that. That's a great.
Speaker 1:It's the best way to watch a live stream right and Soski says yes, it's been a minute since I sat down with you guys.
Speaker 2:Glad I'm able to catch up and thanks for the encouragement as I just rearranged my desk and plug back in my RCP. Nice, I've been wanting to.
Speaker 1:You're gonna hate this. I rearranged my office a little bit.
Speaker 2:I'm not gonna hate it. You do what you gotta do. But I tinker so much you do what you gotta do. Yeah, tom, I feel like every like once a quarter. Well, I have a, if not sooner than that. Basically takes everything out of a studio and then puts it back in.
Speaker 1:I know and I know it goes where it was, but there's there's. There's two things to rearrange one is for the on-camera appearance and two is for the functional workspace side of things.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm and on camera is perfect. Functional workspace, not perfect, and that's where I need to like Shift it up. And I've been watching a lot of studio tours and a thing I've noticed and a lot of people's setups even I don't know if Leo's here, but he did one recently a lot of people have two desk setups or even sometimes like three or four desk setups in their rooms and I was like this is kind of cool because one will be there like they're talking, had filming desk, and one will be their actual work desk or whatever, an unboxing desk and a talk, whatever might be a streaming desk and a Filming desk, something like that. I was like that's Kind of cool as someone who's like constantly shuffling things around. Okay, everything is everything, hey.
Speaker 2:Oh, no coffee. Any idea on how long we can expect these wireless batteries to last? There's a lot of variables and it depends on the brand.
Speaker 1:The I would call them the higher-end brands in these systems, which would be like road and DJI. I think you can pretty reliably get three to four years, which is pretty good, but it's nice if you get, you know, indefinite. For some, you just swap out the batteries.
Speaker 2:Kane trouble in the house. Barely the never morning from Australia. Oh yeah, so happy Saturday.
Speaker 1:By the way, tom, I like that new road stand.
Speaker 2:How is it not sure? If we spoke about it before, I haven't. If you go check out, I don't know if he's here in the chat, if you go check out audio hotlines channel.
Speaker 1:He has a review all on this. It's the road DS2. These are pretty sweet and a cool thing. I was sort of testing this out. I don't know if you can kind of see, but my mic is very off axis right now and it's not tipping at all. So the weight of the mic is like way in the front and the stands not tipping, which is very cool. Super heavy-duty stand.
Speaker 2:I use it a lot.
Speaker 1:I've like sort of mentioned it here. They're in videos. I think people like audio hotline have done amazing reviews and I don't need to do one because the other thing is it's expensive. They're like $90. Other desktop stands like $20. It's super well built and you know you buy it and it's a lifetime purchase.
Speaker 1:For sure it's the opposite of the battery thing, like it will just sit there forever. You can use it for lights, cameras, whatever. But I don't want to get into the price debate in my comment section because I feel like Looking at other people's videos. Most of the comments are just about price and I just don't you know, if you like it, buy it. Yeah, if you don't like it, don't buy. Mr Camerajanke in the house, I saw you this morning in the Ecamp challenge.
Speaker 2:Homesick Mac have an old set of wireless road filmmaker kit that works with AA batteries and still works. I think everything we might have talked about, the comment video or somebody else.
Speaker 1:But road used to have a low not low end, but a more affordable wireless system called the yeah, like the wireless filmmaker kit, and it took AA batteries, but it was discontinued before they started putting out these new generations of things. Rainier Cajun, you all see the new capture device from Elgato 4k, 60p plus pass through.
Speaker 2:Yes, seems awesome and we were talking about getting one because you like to do your thing of doing gaming stuff.
Speaker 1:Yeah, at some point for funsies for funsies. I saw him on the internet. Yeah, at some point for funsies, for funsies.
Speaker 2:I saw my gaming channel and no goals, but I like that it's there.
Speaker 1:Oh my god though I just realized we have the. So yeah, yesterday I'm not gonna lie it was sort of like the last horse crosses the finish line moment with me when I realized that, since we don't do gaming content, the 4k pass through is important for gaming, so that you can play while capturing with no latency and no lag. That makes sense, because for the longest time I couldn't understand why are these different than like a cam link? And it was just I Couldn't get it.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Now I get it, and just now, this minute, I'm realizing that there is a road streamer X just sitting on a shelf over there that has 4k pass through and it's just sitting there.
Speaker 2:Because then I wouldn't need this a temp right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, no, you wouldn't. Yeah, cuz you would. You would have your camera coming through the cam link. You have your console coming through either the Elgato thing or the streamer, and then it would need to pass out to like another monitor or something.
Speaker 2:Well, there you go. All right, I should probably watch that road vid. I got road wireless go to and the bat is bad now either full or empty and no in between, I would say definitely.
Speaker 1:Reach out to road like the battery should last. They cover stuff like. Reach out to their customer support and let them know like what's the deal. Just tell them like hey, my battery is not lasting as long as it used to. Is there anything you can do? And hopefully they will Take care of you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, sounds good. Any other updates?
Speaker 1:There was.
Speaker 2:I think you had something, though I do.
Speaker 1:Okay, let's go to that then well, tonight.
Speaker 2:I am going to the trilogy tour, which this is like a total impulse thing, the trilogy being Ricky Martin and Ricky Iglesias, and Pitbull, Mr Worldwide himself I know I can't believe. I'm like actually very excited Cuz with with them three. Look, I'm a fan. I like pop music. My favorite, well, the one I probably sung along to the most, is probably Pitbull, because you know, any party, any event, they're always playing pitbull. I'm very excited to see Ricky Martin and they're playing right here at our sureena, like where we are every day basically.
Speaker 1:Well, cuz I will be there at the same time for a hockey game that I have to play golly.
Speaker 2:So we will hear from next door and I was like, oh, I want to go, but like I can go either way. And then a friend was like you said, you want to go, you want to go.
Speaker 1:Cuz I was up for going with you and then we realized they shifted my like team schedule around and we had a game at the same time.
Speaker 2:It's like oh, I don't know you were down. I thought thousand percent, thought you were not down.
Speaker 1:Of course I would have gone to like ten aqua. I can go to a Ricky Martin thing like 15 minutes.
Speaker 2:I'm like so excited to see.
Speaker 1:Well, Okay but I'm glad you found someone to go who's, like you know, really into it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, shut out. Okay, which, by the way, nitro has a YouTube channel, if you want to go check it out. It's called nitro does hockey. She just launched it. This is a new friend we made playing hockey and going to Firebird games and it's been so fun to, you know, see someone start a YouTube channel from scratch, like today in 2024. So if you want to check that out, maybe I'll go tell her about the YouTube huddle up.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, that'd be fun.
Speaker 2:Yeah, gotta go. So glad to hear about the relaunches. I'll see you around. Yay, it was so good to see you, marta. Take care, we have to catch up. Let's see. Do you have any other updates? I Feel like there's a thing. Hold on, I think let me think why are you laughing?
Speaker 1:Oh, I don't know. There's a couple, there's a couple fun things coming up that I can't talk about, to tease, which is fun.
Speaker 2:You cannot talk about, not talk about, so then what?
Speaker 1:I'm just letting you know, it's there. There's also. I was supposed to actually Monday, which potentially still happened. Probably won't. Monday was supposed to be the season premiere, my podcast, but then I was sick for like three weeks out of a month and it just had to re move, you had to move it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it just kind of.
Speaker 1:Didn't work. I didn't publicly say that it was supposed to be the line, but usually For the past several years, like it's the first Monday of February is when the podcast, the first podcast season the year, starts. It won't probably won't be this week because I want to make the first episode good, but that's something I'm really excited about, especially with, like, I've a lot of new gear to podcast with since last time, like the, the Mackie XS and all that fun stuff and yeah, so I know that that will be fun to relaunch that and I think we were talked about last week. I feel fairly confident or comfortable in making my podcast audio only and keeping it that way. Yeah, what nothing and what what's it?
Speaker 2:As I said, don't you guys want Tom to go live?
Speaker 1:Oh yeah, I want to go live too, but yeah that's also a.
Speaker 2:Thing.
Speaker 1:That is.
Speaker 2:A separate thing, that's a separate thing.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I want to do that more. I plan to do that more. That's just. There's a lot of things I want to do and it just is on the bottom of the priority list.
Speaker 2:Well, we have the couple sable, so it's okay. Yeah, kat says everyone's favorite update is the secret one.
Speaker 1:I'm just letting you know there's a couple very cool things coming up that I can't talk about Very exciting.
Speaker 2:We're all very excited to hear about the secret thing that I also do not know about.
Speaker 1:I think I've told you I could remind you of them.
Speaker 2:Oh, oh Well, apparently it's not that exciting because I can't think of anything.
Speaker 1:No, it's all good things.
Speaker 2:Season 12 already. Oh, I have an idea for a podcast, Honestly no.
Speaker 1:I was wondering. That's what I didn't say. I believe it's season 12, but it might be season 13.
Speaker 2:Well, it's your amateur nose, more than you. Yeah, I should know this, hi, heather, and Tom Michael and Janet checking in. Hey, hey, we have your channel on right now. Oh my gosh, our favorite thing has been the royal albatross, because the chick hatched and it's just so cute. We have Boston Main Live on one TV.
Speaker 1:On the main TV. On the main TV.
Speaker 2:And then we had to pull up the royal albatross on a separate TV just so we have that one going on 24-7, because the baby chick is in there and it's like so cute, oh my gosh.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Late to the chat, but love the mask.
Speaker 1:Oh, thank you. Yeah, and it is season 12, I checked what mask? The hockey mask.
Speaker 2:Oh, the goldie mask. Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is how you can tell I'm still new, because I call it the helmet.
Speaker 1:Well, it's funny because it is a helmet.
Speaker 2:But it's started, yeah, but it's like what a way to identify that you are new by calling it a helmet.
Speaker 1:But any normal human being is going to look at that and go that is a helmet. But it started goldie is more nothing and then wore literally just the masks that strapped to the front of your face and it.
Speaker 2:I associate the word mask with like COVID mask. Oh, like, I don't think I was like, did you draw on your mask or something?
Speaker 1:No, but it was funny because I wore that for the first time on Sunday during the game you were playing in the scrimmage game.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:And you know, of course, everyone was like, wow, look at that, it looks so cool, which you know was great. And then I took a pocket right to the face and everybody's like that's a mask. And I was like, oh, I'm fine, by the way, Thanks y'all, but yeah, no, not the mask.
Speaker 2:Well, because you take shots of the face all the time. This is like you know I do.
Speaker 1:It's something that you have a custom painted Golemass.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but yes. The albatross is your break. It's like as big as our dog.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I mean it's crazy because when you, when you just see the like the shot of the albatross just sitting on the hillside, it kind of looks like a seagull. And then you see, and sometimes you will see, like the, the workers or the researchers like going up to weigh it or whatever, and you know the bird is closer to the camera. They're far away and the person gets closer but the person like doesn't get any bigger because the bird is so big. Oh, so they have it they have it on the neighbor right now.
Speaker 2:This is the neighbor, yeah, the main. So this is the Royal albatross cam that we always also have on. Actually, you talked about this, the. It's the department of conservation.
Speaker 1:Yes.
Speaker 2:This is like a little yeah.
Speaker 1:Cause this is the normal view that we see. So the albatross in the closer part is like the main one that they're featuring and it's sitting on a chick right now, maybe hatched a week ago.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they're vibing right now.
Speaker 1:Both of these birds are actually sitting on chicks, but I want to see if we can find a part where, like the person comes or like something cute happens.
Speaker 2:Oh, there's a person, yeah.
Speaker 1:Yeah, um. Oh sorry guys, usually like once a day someone comes to.
Speaker 2:Well, it's how big it is.
Speaker 1:Wait Right there and they yell at it. Yeah, like when the people are sitting there.
Speaker 2:Like a seagull, but yeah, when the person's next to it.
Speaker 1:Yeah, there's a size thing. It's here and when they stretch out their wings, I think the week span is over six feet or something.
Speaker 2:Oh, we put the bird back. There's the bird. Oh, there, oh there's the baby bird. Oh my God, they have to like check, check on it.
Speaker 1:They check them, they rotate them. Sometimes they like, yeah, they make sure. Yeah, it's fascinating. There's a whole discussion board too. There's an old school message board just for this, and you can like get updates from the people who go.
Speaker 2:Tom has donated, so by the way your nonprofit organization having a 24 seven cam is a great fundraiser.
Speaker 1:Yeah. Because Tom has already, because we watched the chick last year not from when it was a chick, but from when it was like a couple months from leaving and then literally one day it's flanged.
Speaker 2:It's just left.
Speaker 1:And then when they leave, they they don't come back. They don't come back to land for like three to five years. They just basically live on the ocean and even sleep on the water, like they don't touch land, and then eventually, when they're old enough to like have their own babies, they come back to the spot that they're from. Yeah, and they live a long time. So I'm going to be like 50 or 60 years old they're. I learned all this because of the Boston and Maine webcast.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I don't know, hotline Almost. We were just talking about you.
Speaker 1:We were just talking about you, I told everyone to go to your channel to check out your DS2 review and I told them to make sure to complain to you about the price of the mic stand because it's your favorite favorite thing to talk about.
Speaker 2:Michael. Hello, all grading student videos. I'd rather be creating than grading. Oh, that sounds fun, Don't you? Do you miss that?
Speaker 1:Grading.
Speaker 2:No.
Speaker 1:No, no, no. I was just thinking. I may or may not have the chance to work with one of the schools in my old district at some point this year to do like some podcasting workshops and stuff. But the cool part is I would be an outside consultant, not a teacher like the ones I used to have come in. And so you do, you plan the workshops, you work with the students.
Speaker 2:You do all the fun parts.
Speaker 1:You don't do any grading, you do all the teaching.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you do all the teaching, you don't do anything else.
Speaker 1:I would love to do that, so hopefully that happens.
Speaker 2:Yes, I'll try some friggin massive. Definitely look like overgrown seagulls, but they're like so docile because they have no land predators.
Speaker 1:And so even when the researchers walk up and like, take the baby out, they just sort of sit there.
Speaker 2:Squawk, and that's it.
Speaker 1:And they're also like, because they don't live on land, they're like super clumsy. When they land and take off, they kind of like fall and just crash a lot and it's like really funny.
Speaker 2:Mike, what's up? Everybody's editing the video.
Speaker 2:I know this is the best, like we can't miss the couples table because, yeah, got email notification while editing my next YouTube vid Excited. Tell us what it's about. Maybe it's a secret. Give us a preview. Yeah, okay. So for the rest, well, I don't know, whatever, today is a hangout. So if you want to talk about something, we can talk about it. But also, I brought this in case we had absolutely nothing to do. This is actually my mom's Christmas present that I gave to her, but she told me to keep it because no, no, she Okay, that sounds bad, like she didn't like the gift you gave it to your mom.
Speaker 1:Everybody was here we were playing at. Your mom had the best time.
Speaker 2:We should keep it here so we could play it next time, so we could play it when they come back to visit. But see, so was it two live streams ago on the couples table, we tested out that, uh, that new tool stream alive, I think it was called and I wanted. I was thinking about this when we did it, because there's like a word cloud feature Okay. Um, so this is how it's going to work. We're going to. We're just cause the thing is there's a delay with YouTube.
Speaker 1:Blank slate is pretty crazy, though, when you um play with other people we're just going to test this out right now. So for, so yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay. So basically, um, the way that you play in person is that everyone has a piece of paper and someone draws a card and, um, you have to finish the word or like the association yeah, you fill in the blank, yeah, and your goal is to match with most people, like to get the same answer as most people, but not all people, because then everyone gets less points. A little complicated. But for today's purposes we're just going to have you guys play with Tom. Okay, you have to try to write fill it, fill in what you think Tom is going to fill in, okay.
Speaker 1:And this is great. So, for example, one of the cards might say foot blank oh, here, let's use this. Okay, what does that say?
Speaker 2:Money, money blank. Can you see this?
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Money right Honey honey.
Speaker 1:Honey, blank, so you might see something. You say honey, okay, cool, um, and you have an idea. That's like the first thing that comes to your mind.
Speaker 2:You're like obviously Okay. So you think of something I'll think of something.
Speaker 1:But what I'm saying is, when we play, you think like, obviously, like the example I use was foot, because it was foot blank and I was like football, obviously, like, I'm not even a football guy. That's the first thing that comes to mind Ever since I write football. So many times when we played, we all wrote entirely different things and the scoring goes by, like how many people um have the same thing, yeah.
Speaker 2:So today all you're going to try to do in the comments is try to match what you think, not what you would write, but what Tom would write.
Speaker 1:Yeah, cause, that's yeah Cause. It was like football foot rub, foot massage, foot odor, I don't know.
Speaker 2:Well, let's see if we get this.
Speaker 1:What is it, honey?
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay On three Ready One, two, three.
Speaker 1:Honeycomb. Oh see, audio hotline put honey buns, honey bee, oh, that's funny. Yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so I said honeycomb.
Speaker 1:Duh Honey bear. What is that? I don't like the bear that has the honey in it.
Speaker 2:Oh see, honey badger would have been a honey bee.
Speaker 1:Oh yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so honey, bee even. So it's really funny that every yeah, but you have to try to get what Tom is going to write, okay, okay. So you have to, you have to know him a little bit, you know.
Speaker 1:Okay, that's an interesting spin on it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay, and we're going to try this right now. Ready Sure, I'm also going to try to play.
Speaker 1:I'm also going to try to play.
Speaker 2:Okay, so you have to get the set bubble. Okay, you guys, we're all going to get this right right, yeah, right.
Speaker 1:We think so Okay.
Speaker 2:Bubble. Okay, we have to give them a try.
Speaker 1:Okay, so it says bubble, so don't look, don't look at the. Okay, I'm not going to cheat, I'm not trying.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, do you have your answer? Yes, oh, here, you should write it down.
Speaker 1:Oh, you know what, here I'll be right back. Oh no, here I got it.
Speaker 2:The markers are next to my Japanese books, babe. Okay, we're all going to get this, we're all going to get this right. Wait, no, not that one. Where are you going to go? Oh, yeah, I lost it. Oh crap, what was it? What was the word? Oh, I lost the. I lost it. What did I do? Oh, here, it is here. It is here, it is Okay. Bubble, bubble, blank. Write down your answer. Can you grab me one too, babe, I don't know where they are. It's by my Japanese books. I don't know where that is. Oh, by the TV On top of the switch. Sorry, I'm just yelling. Okay, he's getting. We got to play Japanese music while we are at it. Do I have Japanese? Let's see how it goes.
Speaker 1:All right, ready, here's yours. I'm still writing my word, okay.
Speaker 2:So it was bubble blank, bubble blank, okay. We have to try to match top Okay.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:Bubble.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:I would write a different word, but I have a feeling this is what you're going to write.
Speaker 1:I can literally think of one thing Okay, ready.
Speaker 2:Wait, wait, wait, wait. I wrote down what I wanted Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Do you have any racer?
Speaker 1:I don't.
Speaker 2:Sorry, I got it backwards. Hold on, don't look, I got it. I got it. Do you have any racer?
Speaker 1:I don't have any racer no here, oh, okay, oh shoot, this is.
Speaker 2:Okay, this is just the hangout. Okay, okay, I'm going to be so annoyed.
Speaker 1:There's only literally one thing I can think of, so.
Speaker 2:Okay, ready, yeah Set Go.
Speaker 1:Yeah, okay, okay, bubble gum.
Speaker 2:I put bubble bath.
Speaker 1:Oh, I see, it didn't even occur to me.
Speaker 2:Tom would not write that yeah.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Let's see if everyone got it. Okay, you put bubble gum, bubble gum. We had bubble wrap, bubble gum. Okay, bubble gum. Bubble gum.
Speaker 1:Okay Good, most people got gum yes.
Speaker 2:Gum All right so chat. I think the chat one. Yeah, I think the chat wins.
Speaker 1:Yeah, bubble tea, bubble tea, that's a good one, I thought.
Speaker 2:I was shipping.
Speaker 1:Bubble wrap makes sense though. All right, okay. So what's the next? What's the next card?
Speaker 2:Okay, are you ready? Yes, so we're going to, we're going to flip it and it's going to be Wait, I don't know, I'm sad.
Speaker 1:What does it say? Denim, what does it say?
Speaker 2:Blank drum.
Speaker 1:Blank drum.
Speaker 2:It's drum D-R-U-M. Okay, drum, blank drum.
Speaker 1:So the word goes, this one should be If we're going with what I would write, it should be simple. What Tong would write.
Speaker 2:It should be very Okay if you're a longtime Tom Buck fan. We're all going to get this right, okay.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:But we got to wait for the chat.
Speaker 1:Yeah, Got to wait for the chat. I'm sure to change those settings for those YouTube studios which, by the way, if you're interested in knowing, YouTube now has settings in YouTube Studio when you schedule a live stream. You can adjust the latency.
Speaker 2:Oh no, no, I'm second guessing my answer.
Speaker 1:You can adjust the latency for less latency, for quicker engagement, but it would be lower stream quality, higher stream quality, more latency Okay.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Oh shoot, we're going to leave this okay.
Speaker 2:So we've got snare, snare, kick, drum, snare, drum snare drum.
Speaker 1:Wow, okay, Snare kick.
Speaker 2:Snare ear drum. That's a good one.
Speaker 1:See, there's different Bass drum. Wow, snare, snare, snare, snare.
Speaker 2:Everyone wrote snare. Everyone wrote snare.
Speaker 1:Ready set go oh Bass, that's the bass, which I mean is the kick, the kick drum, but that's the one that popped into my I feel like that's yeah. I think because I have more often said the bass drum, I need to move my bass drum.
Speaker 2:Snare. He doesn't say drum after snare.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I just say the snare.
Speaker 2:That's what it calls it. That's what it calls it.
Speaker 1:It's my snare, so yeah. But I remember I think drum came up with your parents and like some of them were like oil drum or like they were.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was all Totally different. Ear drum yeah. All right, let's Snare, we're just going to keep going here.
Speaker 1:This makes me think that snare is the most popular drum. Yeah, mike was the one who said bass drum specifically, I bet.
Speaker 2:See, I can't look at it, because then I start.
Speaker 1:Okay, start thinking, okay yeah.
Speaker 2:Okay, this one's going to be interesting. I took a peek ready, Okay.
Speaker 1:I can't read them.
Speaker 2:Snow blank. Okay, snow blank. Let me just tell you this is a desert baby. Okay, so snow blank.
Speaker 1:I actually had one, okay, so.
Speaker 2:I have one that I feel like this is the one we're all going to write, right? Yes, okay.
Speaker 1:I have one. Okay, I'm going to actually put two. No, and I'm going to explain why.
Speaker 2:Okay, fine, All right, you know what it's our show. You do what you want to do. Boo boo. Oh shoot. Now I'm confused. I don't know what the fuck. I can't.
Speaker 1:Did you just see my answer? No, I'm looking at you to see if it'll give me some clues.
Speaker 2:Can you hit me the lid of the box over?
Speaker 1:there, I need to cover up half of my thing when I show it.
Speaker 2:Okay, ready.
Speaker 1:Cool.
Speaker 2:I'm going to go with this.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:All right, let's see what people are posing. Oh geez, no storm See you know, what I should have done is so everyone who was at the Ecamm Challenge, adrian, had like a. He put the Ecamm Chat like on the as an overlay as an overlay.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's the way to do it.
Speaker 2:Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1:See snowball Wait, really cool.
Speaker 2:Homestick Mac when we're done with the game. How do we get to the new huddle up, please? It's onit's going to be at youtubecom slash Heather Marys on my tutorial channel and I have to schedule it first. But Wednesdays, 1 pm, pacific Standard Time, I'll send out a thing. Homestick Mac. I'll make sure that everyone knows.
Speaker 1:Okay, audio Holly said snowball. Okay, he said snowman. Real Pell Room snowball Ballstorm.
Speaker 2:Snowball.
Speaker 1:I saw Kat said snowstorm and I saw Boston and Maine said snowstorm, all the people from cold climates that get snowstorms. You know what didn't even cross my mind.
Speaker 2:That was not even an option. Yeah, I wrote down something and then I re-stayed it for something else which someone hasn't said yet Snow globe is a really good one. Yeah.
Speaker 1:Snow angels, snowman, snowblower, snow white oh, that's like a different angle Snowblower. Okay, ready.
Speaker 2:So I'm going to flip mine. Okay, ready.
Speaker 1:Snowman and my main. Well, okay, I put snowman because I feel like this is the one, that the other one I feel like is unfair, but the first one that actually popped into my brain was snowbird Bird. Really, I guess, well, you're not from, because you're like, oh, he's a giant Cause. You're like, oh, he's a desert boy. I grew up in the desert my whole life and our population changes half the year.
Speaker 1:Oh, bird, see, I'm not from the desert, so this is a new term, Snowbirds is a thing for people who live in colder climates, like where you all have snowstorms and when it's the winter months there you come here.
Speaker 2:You know what someone didn't? No one wrote what I wrote.
Speaker 1:And it's called snowbird and that's the thing, cause that's for most of my life, when I hear snow blank, I hear snow bird, and so I thought it was snowbird, I wrote snow flake.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's a good one too.
Speaker 1:No one wrote it Snow. Yeah, snowbird and snowman were my favorite one.
Speaker 2:Snowstorm. I forgot that was a thing that even happened. All right, let's do. Let's do one more. We got one more, Okay, ready Lightning round for all the points. Okay.
Speaker 1:Okay.
Speaker 2:Bam.
Speaker 1:What is it? What does it say?
Speaker 2:Chance. Blank chance, that's hard, blank chance I have.
Speaker 1:I'm going with the one that popped into my brain first.
Speaker 2:Nothing is popping into my brain. First, is there something obvious?
Speaker 1:I can think of two Chance yeah.
Speaker 2:Like chance the wrapper, but the blank. The blank is at the beginning. Oh my gosh, I can't think of anything. Okay, I think I thought of something. I don't know if it's what you would come up with, but whatever, I'm just going to go with it. This is so stupid. Okay, oh let's see, I did not. Fat chance that's a great one, that's not the one I wrote Bye Drew, See you. Fat chance, random chance Okay.
Speaker 1:Fat is funny.
Speaker 2:No chance, no chance. Second chance, second chance.
Speaker 1:Well, mr Audio Hotline, oh wait, never mind, we're not on the same page.
Speaker 2:Is that not what you wrote? You thought that's what you wrote.
Speaker 1:That was my second option. That I thought of was second chance. I think I'm more on Vage with Call Me Cubby because I wrote last chance.
Speaker 2:I put on the off chance. Oh, that's clever, though, because I couldn't think of anything else.
Speaker 1:I only thought of last and second. Fat is really funny.
Speaker 2:And off chance is really clever. Okay, we have to do one more, One more one more one more, one more, one more.
Speaker 1:Heather wants to go out feeling victorious. She said end it on a high note, Okay.
Speaker 2:Ready, let's do. And the word is at the end. Okay, how about this Boom?
Speaker 1:Is it like packing parking?
Speaker 2:Parking Parking blank? Oh, this one's Okay. Southern California Parking. I feel like our associations are going to be different, because I grew up in LA. Living in LA. I think we're going to come up with the same one.
Speaker 1:Marking is not a thing that you think about. Where I am from, it's just the thing you do easily.
Speaker 2:Okay, here I think I'm going to go in so many directions with this one.
Speaker 1:See, I feel like I took the most obvious first association. That's what I think. But the thing with this game is it shows you that what you think is the most obvious usually, oftentimes, isn't.
Speaker 2:Okay, wait, I'm trying to think of what Tom would write. Okay, clever goofy right now I know but I'll tell you what I thought, what I thought of first. Okay, okay, let's see what people put ready Parking ticket.
Speaker 1:Parking lot, parking lot, parking pass, parking lot, parking lot, parking lot parking space, parking, parking ticket, parking, spot parking brake and break. I like that parking. Parking tickets over here is what I'm learning.
Speaker 2:Okay, do you want to show yours or mine, or do it at the same time ready? Oh, I just already saw it one, two. Are you a?
Speaker 1:lot and I put space.
Speaker 2:I was like cuz you park in the lot.
Speaker 1:I do, yeah, but I park in a space in the lot you know what I wrote first.
Speaker 2:It kept like mr Camerich again put spot.
Speaker 1:Well, see, I was curious. I was like, well, spot or space, but I I think I use the terms interchangeably, but space is the one that popped in first. I was like, I guess that's what's more natural to my brain, so I'm gonna go with that. I definitely went with parking ticket first, like you know what I've never gotten in my life?
Speaker 2:They've erupted a. A statue in the city of Long Beach, with all the friggin donations I made of parking ticket payments.
Speaker 1:How much is a parking ticket?
Speaker 2:It's like $53 and it's like every week.
Speaker 1:It's so dumb build it into the monthly budget.
Speaker 2:Yeah, well, that was fun. So anyway, that game's called blank. Wait, what's it called blank spot?
Speaker 1:Oh, I think blank.
Speaker 2:This is super fun. Super fun to play in person. You think you know everyone. You know you think everyone's gonna get the same one. It's like how could you not put this answer? And everyone has a different.
Speaker 1:well, some of them feel really hard where it's like obscure word blank, and you're like I don't, I can't think of one thing, I don't know what a bunch and we all get it right, yeah, but other ones are not right, it seems like so common and then people get different things.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that was fun.
Speaker 1:That was fun Good idea yeah. Well, we still have a couple minutes here a couple minutes on the couple table, all right. So there's any last-minute topics, subjects, things.
Speaker 2:Whatever?
Speaker 1:Mr Cameron junkie says we use spot in Florida because the sidewalk is Parking on the sidewalk.
Speaker 2:I'm trying to think anything else.
Speaker 1:YouTube newsy updated related it's February. What we got coming up, it is February. Yeah, full-out February trying to finalize some NAB plans.
Speaker 2:NAB is happening.
Speaker 1:And I.
Speaker 2:Literally pulled up my calendar. The firebirds are doing well, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. We are number one in the Western Conference now.
Speaker 1:Yes, and number two in the league, right behind the freaking Hershey bear. Yeah, the team that we lost to in Overtime game seven. Oh, I mean honestly, if it came down to a rematch, that would be kind of epic. But no, so terrified, I wouldn't want yeah but the thing is like the firebirds were the better team.
Speaker 2:It just sort of doesn't matter, I know it doesn't matter. Oh look, michael got his NAB tickets already.
Speaker 1:Oh sweet, yeah, I would. The thing that I didn't realize about NAB was that it's a lot of days and it's the yeah, it's like four or five days and we should all stay in the same Area but we're trying to figure out if we if we're gonna get someone to sponsor our tickets or for buying our own tickets, and that's going to determine where we stay, like how much money goes towards is this.
Speaker 2:It Did I put the wrong NAB. That's not it. This is not it. Hold on.
Speaker 1:No, that is it. It's his National Association of Broadcasters. Yeah, it's just looks, it's so contenty and usually they don't use the word is it yeah?
Speaker 2:Yeah, usually it's.
Speaker 1:April 13th through the 17th, so 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. That's five days. There we go. National Association broadcasters when content comes to life so we're usually it's okay, so they're like leaning usually it's not because content creators are such a tiny, tiny part of who goes there.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so this is April 13 to 17 24 in Vegas.
Speaker 1:So we need to figure out like that the must not miss days. Yes, cuz that's a five days is the freaking work week.
Speaker 2:I know I'd love to catch a hockey game. I Know that's not.
Speaker 1:I mean, that would be amazing.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we all need to stay in the same hotel and, oh my god, be so much fun, whoot. Anyway, stay tuned for that.
Speaker 1:It's expensive, though, my friends, so, mr Cameron, junkie said hearing the words rematch in game seven coming from Thomas. Oh, it's. Yeah, I Like. There's a few friends I haven't talked to in a while and when we catch up I say things like this and they like they literally think I am joking at first Yo. James Hicks.
Speaker 2:I just saw you live with doc on Instagram. But, yeah, we're going, you're going, we're definitely gonna hang out, let's go. Oh, it's gonna be so much fun, yeah, okay. So Hassan has like a Question. Okay, productivity apps. This is a good question to end with boom. What productivity apps Do you both use? Notes, calendar, email, etc.
Speaker 1:I use the notes app. That's sort of it.
Speaker 2:Okay. So my newest App that, like I open regularly, is called mind node M-i-n-d-n-o-d-e, and it's basically a More visual version of notes.
Speaker 1:Oh, it's like a mind.
Speaker 2:It's the mind mapping app, yeah you can do mind mapping, so base you know, like actually here let me see if I can, if anyone in here saw Peter Lindgren's video from a couple.
Speaker 1:I mean, like a month ago he did a thing about mindmeister which is like a mind mapping thing. This is very similar to that, but I think this might be a little more flexible in terms of how you can actually like drag and arrange like this.
Speaker 2:So what I put here is like my video topic. Each of these are the bullet points, basically, and then within those you can break it down, and then you can also switch to an outline.
Speaker 1:It will automatically take your thing, and yeah, it'll here hopefully Shows me the oh Didn't.
Speaker 2:So it's gonna look like this right hello visitor show up a finster like that, and so I've been using this like weekly goals. I did the same 2024. I wrote down like you know what are all the things I want to work on this year, and like you can turn it into to-do lists and stuff I Visual. I just have to see everything because if I don't, it's like in the pantry. If you don't see it, then I won't realize.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it doesn't exist in here.
Speaker 2:Oh, the counter goes bad. Yeah, exactly, and it's a cloud based, so you know, accessible on all your devices. This is the go-to one that I wanted to talk about, because everything else we, I think, is the same thing we use since forever, like, yeah, just Gmail.
Speaker 1:Fun fact do you know why, when you see a lot of iPhone Add things like this isn't even an Apple website, but it's still there. Why the iPhone's time is set to 941?
Speaker 2:Yeah because that was the time when Something happened.
Speaker 1:Yes, that was the time during the iPhone announcement Keynote, when Steve Jobs like I knew it was something like that. That's, that's fun. A little tidbit it is. Maybe it's not as obscure as I thought.
Speaker 2:But you know who told me that was it me.
Speaker 1:Yes, I had to. We were in a grocery store earlier. The grocery store is called the winco, so you're around winco and I had to refrain from telling you this Because I think I already told you like repeatedly. But every time we walk by, like the bread aisle, where all the like Snack cakes are like Twinkies and stuff, if you remember, like 14 years ago Twinkies were being discontinued and it was like the announcement.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was like the last Twinkie or whatever right.
Speaker 1:So I panicked and drove as fast as. I could, to that winco and bought all of the Are they still in the closet, honestly? They could be. No, they're not. I ate all of them. But Every time we go by there I think of telling you that story. And today I really debate. I was like I think I have. I don't know if I have, I can't remember and I didn't, I didn't repeat it.
Speaker 2:Here's the thing, babe we're married, I know so I I've signed up to hear all of it 50 times. Okay, I mean, it makes me feel good because you also repeat yourself as well I. Feel like I'm not the only one. I Still tell them. It's like the first time he's heard it like oh my god, did you know? Yes, I've told me seven times now. Okay, they're having a creators party at any. Be, have fun.
Speaker 1:Oh my gosh, he's so fun.
Speaker 2:Let's see, I'm at the Hilton Grand, but heck, if you're somewhere else I'll read I don't know where, I don't know.
Speaker 1:Our favorite Vegas hotel is the Palazzo, but it's also not the cheapest and I don't, I don't actually know where NAB is, so that might be like, out of the way. But yeah, so I will have to figure that. But, like I said, we're kind of waiting to figure out our ticket situation first, because that determines our hotel budget.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and the Plaza is like not you know, it's kind of it's just so nice, more expensive.
Speaker 1:It's so like clean.
Speaker 2:That's like for vacation, babe Nice.
Speaker 1:Comfy.
Speaker 2:Let's see, I like whimsical when I want to draw and visualize and then I embed into notion whimsical. I should check that out whimsical.
Speaker 1:And Reggie said pretty sure my nodes includes a set app subscription is included in a set app.
Speaker 2:I don't know what set up is. Is that a you?
Speaker 1:got set up with set up it. Aubrey says less. Yes, let's hang out together audio hotline has a win-co. I've never been to the US of a will try visiting on April in a year or two to attend the Nam show.
